The team starts by performing a preliminary investigation of the property and building’s history by gathering various documents (i,e, original construction and subsequent repairs/additions of the building). After which, TCE begins a non-destructive evaluation of the site.
TCE performs a diligent inspection of all the structural and building envelope components by documenting relevant data points, such as, field notes, pictures, videos, and personnel interviews to provide a comprehensive report to the client. If a need arises, TCE performs destructive testing to dig a little deeper and further examine the damage observed at the property.
Following these steps, all of the data is reviewed internally, and an engineering analysis is performed, this can involve wind analysis or other relevant analysis to determine the forces acting on a building as a result of the subject event.
